As the 2nd Jiangnan Culture and Arts & International Tourism Festival opened last Friday, the city sent out sincere invitations to friends at home and abroad to join this grand annual event. Revolving around the cultural deposits of Suzhou and the “Gusu 8:30pm” night economy brand, this year’s festival features a number of selected events and preferential policies for cultural and tourism products.
Among others, Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and 51 A-classscenic spots in Suzhou have jointly implemented a ten-day discount policy (August 28 to September 6) that offers half-priced tickets via both online ticketing platforms and on-site ticketing windows to citizens and tourists.
In addition, Suzhou has started giving a subsidy of RMB60 million yuan since the last third of August in a bid to support tourism companies in their business and product development, boost local people’s enthusiasm for tourism consumption, and attract tourists to tour around and stay overnight in the city.
