East China’s Jiangsu province released a series of measures to help local enterprises cut expenditures by 20.9 billion yuan in the first half of this year.
The province has exempted enterprises from basic electricity charges and high-reliability electricity charges. From February 1 to December 31, electricity prices are settled at a 5% discount except for high energy-consuming industries. Jiangsu has lowered gas prices for non-residents twice, reducing the cost of corporate energy expenditure by about 7.3 billion yuan. From March 1st to December 31st, the province reduced port cargo fees and port facility security fees. Preferential tolls for vehicles with fresh agricultural products have reduced logistics costs by RMB 13.6 billion.
