The Jiangsu Provincial Government and China Post Group Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Nanjing on Thursday. Before the contract-signing ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Lou Qinjian and Governor Wu Zhenglong met with Chairman Liu Aili and General Manager Zhang Jinliang of China Post.
Noting that both parties shoulder major missions in the overall situation of national development, Lou Qinjian said Jiangsu and China Post should follow the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and act in accordance with the requirements of the central government, give full play to their respective advantages, take the signing of this strategic cooperation agreement as an opportunity to highlight the strategic priorities of modern logistics and hub economic development, optimize cooperation methods, expand cooperation areas, and work together to make greater contributions to promoting high-quality economic development.
Liu Aili and Zhang Jinliang thanked the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government for their strong support for the development of China Post.
Liu Aili said that Jiangsu has achieved remarkable results in the prevention and control of the epidemic with stable economic and social development momentum. China Post will leverage on Jiangsu’s good business environment and development conditions to unswervingly expand its investment in Jiangsu and achieve greater development in the construction of a new Jiangsu.
According to the agreement, the two parties will carry out strategic cooperation in areas such as serving local economic and social development, building the country's largest international cargo and postal core hub, and improving urban and rural comprehensive convenience services to achieve complementary advantages and win-win development.
