The ministry allocated 78.3 billion yuan of water pollution prevention and control funds to support ecological protection and restoration of the Yangtze River Economic Zone, horizontal ecological compensation for the upstream and downstream of the river basin, and water pollution prevention and control in key river basins.
97.4 billion yuan was invested in air pollution prevention and control. 25 billion yuan was invested in 2020 for air pollution control in key areas such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, and Fenwei Plain.
During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the central government invested more than 10 billion yuan to restore the ecological environment.
More than 4,500 cases of advanced practical technologies have been collected so far.
