The CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee has united people of Jiangsu to make remarkable progress in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic by implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important instructions and the decisions and policies of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, according to a statement released after the meeting.
Under the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee has prioritized people's health and safety and prevented the occurrence of major risks and dangers, enabling the early restoration of normal economic and social order, the statement said.
Faced with grim and complex development prospects, Jiangsu has taken the initiative to strive for steady progress while maintaining stability in the overall social and economic operation, said the statement.
Efforts have been made to promote a series of important tasks, consolidate the foundation for high-quality development, insist on the leadership role of party building and party members taking the lead, and encouraging party organizations at all levels and party members and officials to fight on the front line, according to the statement.

The six fronts refer to employment, the financial sector, foreign trade, foreign investment, domestic investment, and expectations. The six areas refer to job security, basic living needs, operations of market entities, food and energy security, stable industrial and supply chains, and the normal functioning of primary-level governments.
