East China’s Jiangsu province has reported remarkable progress in the pairing-up assistance in northwest China’s Qinghai Province by fueling the social and economic development in Qinghai with a new impetus and clearing impoverished families in the underdeveloped areas.
In July 2019, five teachers from Jiangsu arrived at a school in Hainan Prefecture, Qinghai Province where they started to teach the 12th graders.
By introducing the advanced concepts and pooling the resources from Jiangsu, the five-member teacher group compiled teaching programs which were later donated to the local education bureau for the co-sharing of all the senior high schools in Hainan Prefecture.
Since the launch of the pairing-up support, Jiangsu has sent 76 specialists and experts to Hainan Prefecture.
Doctors from Jiangsu have launched training sessions and installed standardized facilities at Hainan Prefecture People’s Hospital.
Over the past decade, Jiangsu has sent 380 teachers to Hainan Prefecture for teaching assistance while the doctors from Jiangsu have promoted the standardized diagnosis and treatment and the improvement of medical service capabilities of Hainan Prefecture People’s Hospital.
In the meantime, Jiangsu has invested 73 million yuan on the training of 21.2 thousand officials and technicians for Hainan Prefecture.
Hainan Prefecture has sent 80 officials to Jiangsu to serve temporary positions at governments in Jiangsu.
