East China’s Jiangsu Province will brace for the scheduled completion of four high-speed railways with four more to be constructed in the years to come, the Provincial Office for Railway Construction said on Sunday.
Among the high-speed railways to be operational this year are the phase I project of the Shanghai-Nantong railway, the Lianyungang-Xuzhou railway, the Huai’an-Zhenjiang section of the Lianyungang-Huai’an-Yangzhou-Zhenjiang railway and the Yancheng-Nantong railway. The four high-speed railways will increase 654 kilometers of mileage for Jiangsu and come up with a basic railway network in north Jiangsu. Jiangsu is also making preparation for the construction of four other high-speed railways.
