Party and government leaders of east China’s Jiangsu province has sent a letter to the overseas Chinese communities to convey the best regards from the 80 million people in Jiangsu as the novel coronavirus pneumonia or COVID-19 has broken out almost around the globe.
The overseas Chinese are always the loved ones who have close ties to the motherland and the hometown will always be a warm harbor, said the letter, adding that the province will do its best to provide services and assistance to the overseas Chinese.
The letter was written and signed by Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu.
The letter also expressed heartfelt thanks to the overseas Chinese for their altruist support to the motherland in the fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic.
The letter has been echoed by the leader s of the overseas Chinese communities in various countries.
