East China’s Jiangsu province will inject 122.7 billion into the agricultural sector this year, according to an on-site meeting held Tuesday in Huai’an city on the promotion of large investment projects in agricultural production. Ren Zhenhe, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended the meeting.
Ren Zhenhe and vice governor Zhao Shiyong were briefed on the launch of major investment projects in agricultural production at the opening ceremony of the Green Food Industry Park in Xuyi County.
Ren Zhenhe emphasized that regional governments should implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping ’s important instructions by centering on the requirements of building a well-off society in a high level and building a new Jiangsu, advancing the construction of major projects, making up for the weaknesses of high-quality development, and consolidating the foundation for the modernization of agriculture and rural areas so as to make tangible contributions to the victory of epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development.
Ren announced the opening of the large investment projects in agricultural production.
On behalf of the provincial party committee and government, Zhao Shiyong expressed his congratulation to the launch of the projects.
Ren and Zhao later went to inspect the rural housing improvement projects and an agricultural processing base in Xuyi.
Ren Zhenhe also went on an inspection tour in Xuyi to learn about the progress being made in the promotion of hog production, comprehensive breeding base, rural housing improvement and agricultural industry park.
He asked the local government to extend the industrial chain and speed up the construction of a modern and efficient agricultural development system by helping to promote the sales of farm produce and expanding offline and online sales for the benefits of the agricultural sector.
