Stephen Mclone, an Englishman living in Wuxi, came to the community health service center on February 21 to present a special gift: 150 Chinese-style cakes he and his family made on the morning.

Stephen Mclone, Customer Service and Technical Support Manager of Caterpillar Asia Pacific, has been living in Wuxi for 7 years.

Everyone likes to call him "Long Ge" after his Chinese name Fu Yilong.

Mclone’s sister in the UK asked him to return home when the epidemic broke out.

He said he would never leave as Wuxi is his home. Long Ge said that he has been in contact with the community and has worked as a publicist for foreigners through the Wuxi Foreign Business Club to guide everyone to protect themselves and cooperate with the government.

In the face of the epidemic, Long Ge said, "I'm not scared at all. I believe I can protect myself. The community has done a lot of work and many people work late into the night. We feel safe living here." The community often inquires about his goings-on and sent face masks, which made him feel warm.

Speaking of making Chinese cakes, "Long Ge" said, "I especially like helping others, I also like China, and I like Wuxi. I also want to help when I see this situation. I think the medical staff is very hard, so I just want to do something I gave them Chinese dim sum, and I hope to bring more foreign friends to join. "

The medical staff of Xin'an Community Health Service Center in Wuxi said that this is the first time that they have tasted Chinese dim sum made by foreign friends, and they praised Long Ge's craftsmanship and volunteer service spirit.

Yang Qiwen, a nurse with the Xin'an Community Health Service Center, said: "We are kept very busy and we are moved to receive this special gift today. It also gave us the motivation and confidence to beat the virus. We will continue to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control."
