Authorities in Suzhou have taken a multi-pronged approach to ensure that workers returning to work can be travel across the provincial boundaries. The flow of personnel and vehicles between Jiangsu and Shanghai has gradually increased in recent days with the resumption of work and production.
Huaqiao town of Kunshan city, Jiangsu Province, has joined hands with Jiading District of Shanghai to issue commuter pass for the workers who have to travel across the provincial boundaries on their way to work.
Authorities in Taicang city of Jiangsu and Jiading District of Shanghai have signed a cooperative agreement, allowing the workers in both regions to travel freely on their way to work provided that they hold the commuter pass. The names of the workers who have been issued the commuter pass have been filed for registration by the local departments on both sides. Verification on the personal information of the workers has been made before the name list is submitted to the authorities.
Wujiang District of Suzhou has issued Vehicle Inspection Registration Certificate to the applicants who need to enter Wujiang from other places without stopping their vehicles at the check points to make entrance registration.
