The provincial production safety commission held a meeting recently to convey General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on strengthening production safety and the instructions by Premier Li Keqiang and other central government leaders. Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu, presided over the meeting.
Wu Zhenglong pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping has attached great importance to production safety and issued important instructions on many occasions, which has provided fundamental follow-up for us to strengthen production safety.
He asked Jiangsu to follow the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, implement the deployment and requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, adhere to the problem orientation, draw lessons from past accidents, do a good job in production safety, and check and rectify hidden risks.
The Governor stressed that more efforts should be made to highlight production safety and great attention should be given to the resumption of production after the spring festival holiday.
He also demanded that more campaigns should be launched to address the hidden dangers in transport and chemical industries so as to ensure the smooth progress of the post-holiday production resumption.
Wu Zhenglong also asked related departments to strengthen the production safety in the production, sales and transport of epidemic prevention drugs, medical devices, and key materials for people's life and production.
He said that provincial authorities should increase the guidance and service on the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus epidemic so that enterprises can ensure production safety and contribute to the country’s ongoing campaign to contain the novel coronavirus epidemic.
The Governor also demanded that the number of production safety accidents and deaths will be significantly reduced.
