The standing members of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee held a meeting Sunday afternoon to study the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the National Conference of Organization Directors and the Central Political and Legal Work Conference. Provincial Party Secretary Lou Qinjian presided over the meeting.
It is important to study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, strengthen the new effectiveness of comprehensive and strict party governance, promote the modernization of provincial governance, establish a sound and effective supervision system, and strengthen discipline and administrative supervision so as to provide a strong guarantee for the construction of a comprehensively well-off society at a high level, according to a statement released after the meeting.
We must earnestly implement the six key tasks put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping, adhere to the problem-oriented approach, focus on the weak points in party governance, take targeted measures, make continuous and sustained efforts so as to unswervingly promote the comprehensive and strict governance of the party, the statement said.
It is important to adhere to the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, conscientiously implement the clear key tasks of the National Conference of Organization Directors, establish and improve the long-term mechanism of "not forgetting the original intention and bearing in mind the founding missions", speed up the construction of a strong organizational system, and further stimulate entrepreneurial motivation among the officials, the statement said.
The meeting also called for the implementation of the important instructions made by general secretary Xi Jinping on political and legal work from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core so as to ensure absolute political loyalty and absolute reliability, build a political and legal team that will be trusted and relied by the party and the people, promote political and legal work and protect high-quality development, the statement said.
The key tasks for the CPC Provincial leadership in 2020 include making continued efforts to study the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, improving the quality and efficiency of economic development, solving outstanding livelihood issues, giving priority to ecology and green development and promoting reform and opening up at a higher level, according to the statement.
The CPC Provincial leadership will also strengthen and improve the work of publicity, ideology and culture, promote the modernization of the provincial governance system and governance capacity, improve the quality and level of party building and strengthen the self-construction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Committee, the statement said.
The meeting called for greater and more sustained efforts to address the weaknesses in the work related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers, troubleshoot the protruding livelihood issues in the rural areas, take targeted measures to implement government policies so as to make the farmers have more sense of gain and happiness.
