Wu Zhenglong, Governor of Jiangsu, visited a PLA air force unit in Yancheng on Monday to extend his festive greetings to the military servicemen and servicewomen.
When extending his festive greetings, he promised that the CPC Provincial Committee and the provincial government will do their utmost to provide services and solve difficulties for the officers and soldiers.
He hoped that the officers and soldiers will work hard, train hard, temper their will and display their talents.
He expressed his gratitude to the air force unit for its long-term support to Jiangsu’s development.
Wu said Jiangsu is a land of revolutionary past and Yancheng gave birth to the iron army spirit the "New Fourth Army." The New Fourth Army is one of the two Communist-led forces during the war of resistance against Japanese aggression in World War II.
The governor also pledged that the provincial authorities will support the army's reform and construction, deepen the integration of military and civilian development, and constantly consolidate military-government and military-civilian relations.
We sincerely hope that the troops stationed in Jiangsu will, as always, care and support, participate in local development, join hands to promote high-quality development, take the lead in accelerating the construction of a new Jiangsu and jointly write a new chapter for the army-civilian mutual support in the new era, the governor said.
