The Jiangsu Free Trade Zone, divided into three sub-zones in Nanjing, Suzhou and Lianyungang, was unveiled 100 days ago with the approval from the State Council.
The free trade zone is featured with reform-oriented innovation and innovation-powered development.
In the Lianyungang sub-zone, the "classified supervision of warehoused goods by status" system can enhance the logistics and distribution functions in the special customs supervision area, and also make it easier for enterprises to connect the international and domestic markets.

The Nanjing sub-zone has come up with more than 50 innovation cases in finance, taxation, business facilitation, and talent supply. Three of the six innovation cases reported by the Provincial Department of Commerce to the Ministry of Commerce were contributed by the Nanjing sub-zone. They include a new model of "regional environmental assessment" reform and "credit + commitment" green direct approval.

The Jiangsu Free Trade Zone covers 119.97 square kilometers in Nanjing, Suzhou and Lianyungang, including 39.55 square kilometers in Nanjing, 60.15 square kilometers in Suzhou, and 20.27 square kilometers in Lianyungang. Each of the three sub-zones has its own advantages and will also have its own strengths.
Nanjing Jiangbei New Area will focus on building an independent innovation pilot zone with international influence, a modern industrial demonstration zone and an important platform for reform and opening up.
Suzhou Industrial Park will focus on making new breakthroughs in open innovation and integration, and create four highlands including all-round open, international innovation, high-end industries and modern governance.
Lianyungang will focus on building an important international transportation hub for Asia and Europe, an open portal to gather high-quality elements, and an important pivot for the construction of the "Belt and Road" meeting point.
