The 9th China (Wuxi) International Cultural and Art Industries Fair (ICAIF) will be held in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, from Dec 5 to 9 to promote the development of the local culture and tourism.
The fair, held for the first time in 2011, has been recognized as one of "China's top 10 exhibition projects" due to its huge influence in China and abroad. At the event, nearly 1,000 enterprises from 23 Chinese provinces and 24 countries and regions will showcase their products over an area of 50,000 square meters.
The five-day fair will consist of a variety of activities, including an opening ceremony, a forum, a cultural bazaar, performances, and art exhibitions. This year's event will also feature more innovations than previous events.
The fair is expected to be an immersive experience for visitors, and organizers hope that many cultural and creative brands from around the province will participate in the bazaar.
A number of cultural and creative products, as well as intangible cultural heritage items, will be on display at the Wuxi pavilion through innovative digital methods, such as VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality).
Short-distance shuttle buses will make it easy to get around the fair, and a lucky draw and small gifts for visitors are expected to generate some enthusiasm.
