Jiangyin, a county-level city in Jiangsu province, topped the national list of top 100 industrial counties, according to a ranking released Wednesday morning at the China County Level Industrial Economy Development Forum held in Beijing.
25 counties or county-level cities in Jiangsu are included in the top 100 list, followed by 19 from Shandong and 18 from Zhejiang.
The top ten are Jiangyin, Kunshan, Zhangjiagang, Changshu, Jinjiang, Cishi, Taicang, Changsha, Shenmu and Yixing. 6 of them are from Jiangsu.
Inthe period from January to September, Jiangyin reported a year-on-year increase of 9.1% in its industrial added value, 3.3 percentage points higher than the provincial average.
The industrial profits of enterprises above the designated scale witnessed a surge of 5.7% year on year, which is 10.2 percentage points higher than the national average.
