The city of Suzhou in East China’s Jiangsu province has spared no efforts to enhance ecological and environmental protection by reining in air pollution in the rivers and lake through the 263 Action Plan to ensure an overwhelming victory in ecological environmental governance as soon as possible.

The city of Taicang has put into operation a 110,000-square-meter wetland park that is within 2 kilometers of the Yangtze shoreline.Nearly 30,000 tons of sewage per day in the nearby sewage treatment plant will be re-filtered in the wetland, adding an ecological barrier between the sewage treatment plant and the Yangtze River.
Authorities inChangshu have dismantled enterprises that were seriously polluted in the estuary, and also built a number of green ecological corridors along the Yangtze River, such as the Tiehuangsha Ecological Protection Zone so that the quality of the ecological environment along the Yangtze River has been significantly improved.
