The 2019 Jiangsu Township Development International Exchange Conference was held in Wujiang district, Suzhou on Thursday. The event was hosted by the Jiangsu People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
Lan Shaomin, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Committee, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Certificates for honorary residents of Jiangsu Province were handed out at the meeting.
Nearly 300 foreign guests from 17 cities and towns in 10 countries, and nearly 300 people from 36 townships and towns in the province participated in the meeting.
The participants exchanged ideas on the positioning and cultivation of the developing industries in the township, the inheritance and development of traditional culture, and the improvement of the living environment so as to jointly explore feasible ways for achieving higher levels of development in global cities and towns, and share new development results.
