Wu Zhenglong, secretary of the Party Group of the Provincial Government and Governor, presided over the provincial government party group meeting on Tuesday to study the spirit of the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the grand rally in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, General Secretary Xi’s recent important instructions and his article published in Qiushi Journal.
Since the founding of the People's Republic of China 70 years ago, our party has united and led the people of all ethnic groups in China and achieved great achievements that have attracted worldwide attention, according to a statement released after the meeting.
These achievements are manifestation of the correctness of the socialist road with Chinese characteristics, the scientific nature of socialist theory with Chinese characteristics, the superiority of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and the leading nature of socialism culture with Chinese characteristics, the statement said.
We must further strengthen the faith and conviction, guide practices and promote work with the consciousness of following the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era, be a firm believer and loyal practitioner of new ideas, and continue to struggle for the Chinese dream of the Chinese nation's great rejuvenation, according to the statement.
We must profoundly understand the important role played by the CPPCC in different historical periods, profoundly understand the new demands put forward by the party during the 18th National Congress of the COC, profoundly understand the overall requirements for strengthening and improving the work of the CPPCC in the new era, and give full play to the political advantages of the CPPCC system so as to consciously fulfill the political responsibility of consultative democracy, the statement said.
The meeting also stressed strengthening the Party's consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core and keep in alignment from the political height of safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core.
