A festooned vehicle decorated with the cloud pattern brocade of Nanjing stole the limelight at the grand rally celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China Tuesday in Beijing.
Nanjing University of the Arts was responsible for the design of the festooned vehicle that is 15 meters long, 6 meters wide and 9.78 meters tall.
Showcasing the province’s intelligent manufacturing power, the festooned vehicle is painted with the pictures of the Jiaolong Deep Submersible, the Sunway TaihuLight supercomputer and iron mantis all terrain crane manufactured by Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group.
Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group is also responsible for the production of the float chassis, and Soho Group and Chenguang Group of Aerospace Science and Technology undertakes the production of float car body.
Jiangsu Qiheng Outdoor Equipment Co., Ltd. is committed to making the 80 red lanterns hanging on the Tiananmen Gate. The lanterns, each measuring 5 meters with a diameter of 5 meters, has 8 clouds standing for the prosperity of the motherland.
Nantong Yaolong Metal Manufacturing Co., Ltd. made the eight 100-meter-tall flagpoles on the Tiananmen Gate, the highest of its kind in China.
The equipment made by Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group was installed in the logistics vehicles in the military parade.
Jiangsu Kasidilly Clothing Co., Ltd. is responsible for the making of the uniforms for the 32 formations of the military parade.
General Yi Xiaoguang, who is from Jiangsu, is the commander-in-chief of the military parade. Yi is now the commander of the central theatre of the PLA.
