Suzhou City in Jiangsu Province held the launch ceremony of ferry services at a wharf in Panmen scenic area on the morning of September 28, attracting local residents and tourists to take the maiden voyage.
The ferry services include Route 1 and Route 2, with the wharf as the transfer station. Route 1 includes stops at Pingjiang Road, the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Couple's Retreat Garden, both historical landmarks in the city. Route 2 goes to Bai Juyi wharf, where people have easy access to the popular Shantang Street.
The ferry fare is both 30 yuan for one passenger, with the operation hours at 10:00- 11:00 in the morning and 2:00-3:00 in the afternoon. Residents with Suzhou Recreational Travel Yearly Card can take the ferry service free of charge.
