Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) has streamlined and improved the services for overseas talent, cutting short the time to grant job approval from 15 working days to 3. Some qualified applications can be approved immediately on the site, a great help to foreign talent and returned overseas Chinese talent.
Jyrki Keronen, president of PKC Vehicle Technology (Suzhou), said the company plans to hire more foreigners after SIP became one of three areas of the newly established China (Jiangsu) New Pilot FTZ. SIP stands out for a good environment and convenient services so it can attract more talent. Meanwhile supportive facilities such as the medical services and educational institutions will also help keep a company’s operation more stable.
SIP has rolled out a slew of measures to create a favorable environment to attract top talent. It has established a list of companies with good integrity record, fast-tracked for speedy approval. SIP was the first in China to establish a school for children of returned overseas Chinese talent to ensure education quality. It has also worked out solutions to problems of social security and medical insurance, faced by those overseas talent as well as their spouses and children due to restrictions of age, nationality and household registration.
Among many honors, SIP is an innovation and entrepreneurship base at the national level for overseas high-level talent. It has kept trying new measures and incentives to address all possible concerns of the talent, allowing them to concentrate on innovation and entrepreneurship.
