Huai’an, Portuguese-speaking regions explore industrial cooperation

The delegation of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries visited Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province on September 17.  

On the next day, a meeting was held to facilitate industrial cooperation between Huai’an and Portuguese-speaking regions amid efforts to create a platform for exchanges and meet the demands. Heads of over 30 enterprises in Huai'an attended the meeting.

At the meeting, representatives from Mozambique, Angola, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe, East Timor and other Portuguese-speaking countries introduced the investment environment and preferential policies of their countries. People of some Jiangsu enterprises also shared their views and experiences. 

The Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries is initiated by China, organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China ,and undertaken by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, with the participation of eight Portuguese-speaking countries Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe, and East Timor. 

The forum is a non-political intergovernmental multilateral economic and trade cooperation mechanism committed to strengthening economic and trade exchanges between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
