Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu, met on Wednesday in Nanjing with Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita, the Brazilian ambassador to China.

Wu Zhenglong extended his warm welcome to Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita 's visit to Jiangsu.

He said that this year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil.

In recent years, under the leadership of President Xi Jinping and the leaders of Brazil, the mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results, which has pointed out the direction and created conditions for us to strengthen regional cooperation.

Jiangsu and Brazil enjoys solid cooperation with great potential and broad prospects, the governor said.

He hoped that the two sides will further expand the regional friendly exchanges, deepen economic and trade cooperation in various fields such as manufacturing and modern agriculture, strengthen the people-to-people exchanges in education, culture, sports, and youth, work together to promote mutual benefit and win-win cooperation to a new level and jointly create a beautiful future to better benefit the people of the two sides.

 Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita said that in recent years, Jiangsu has achieved commendable achievements in its social and economic development. A group of Jiangsu enterprises have achieved good results in their investment in Brazil, showcasing a vivid epitome of all-round exchanges and cooperation between Brazil and China.

He added that the development of Brazil and Jiangsu is highly complementary as both sides envision broad prospects for cooperation and exchange, which will actively promote cooperation in various fields between the two sides to a higher level.
