A party and government delegation from east China’s Jiangsu province visited northeast China’s Liaoning province from Monday to Wednesday. The delegation was headed by Fan Jinlong, member of the standing committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and executive vice governor of Jiangsu.
Tang Yijun, deputy secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and governor, met with the delegation. Chen Xiangqun, member of the Standing Committee of Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and executive deputy governor, attended the meeting on paired cooperation between the two provinces
On behalf of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, Tang Yijun thanked Jiangsu for its support to Liaoning's revitalization and development over the years.
He pointed out that effectively promoting the cooperation between Liaoning and Jiangsu is a pragmatic implementation of the national strategy on the revitalization of northeast China set forth by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core.
Liaoning and Jiangsu share strong economic complementarities and broad cooperation space, Tang Yijun said, adding that it is hoped that the two sides will consolidate the cooperation results, further open up new ways of cooperation, expand new space for cooperation, enrich new connotations of cooperation, and promote high-quality and high-level win-win development for both sides.
Fan Jinlong said that Liaoning has achieved gratifying achievements in its comprehensive revitalization in all aspects.
Under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era, Jiangsu will regard the paired cooperation as a major political task and development opportunity, he said.
Fan also noted that Jiangsu will view the national strategies of the revitalization of northeast China and the Yangtze River Economic Belt as important links to promote reform and deepen industrial cooperation for the further development of the paired cooperation and make greater contribution to the national development.
Chen Xiangqun remarked that Liaoning will learn from Jiangsu’s experiences in reform and opening up and the promotion of high quality development by refining the paired cooperation mechanism for more fruitful results.
The Jiangsu delegation visited enterprises in Shenyang, Benxi and Dandong.
The two provinces signed cooperation agreements on the launch of 16 industrial projects.
