The seemingly human footprints and tiger paw prints in the Malingshan Scenic Spot of Xinyi City have been turned out to be dinosaur footprints, according to a recent investigation by Chinese and foreign paleontologists. A total of four footprints were discovered in Xinyi. According to experts' judgment, they were all left by the early Cretaceous dinosaurs, about 100 million years ago. The discovery has not only increased the academic understanding of the distribution of dinosaurs from Shandong to Jiangsu in the early Cretaceous period, but also provided a powerful help for finding more dinosaur footprints in China.
