A Taiwanese resident has realized her wish of presenting a thank-you silk banner to the ICU of the No. 1 Hospital of Changzhou to express her gratitude for her being brought back to life in Changzhou.

Song Huilin from Taiwan was visiting Changzhou on business last February when she suddenly fell into a coma.

A colleague of Song’s dialed 120 to call for paramedics and carried out cardiopulmonary resuscitation as the first aid.

The ambulance rushed Song to the No. 1 Hospital of Changzhou.

After a careful examination, the patient was diagnosed with a sudden heartbeat respiratory arrest. After several hours of rescue, Ms. Song’s vital signs gradually stabilized. The doctor said that once a heartbeat respiratory arrest occurs, death is unenviable if the patient is not sent to the hospital immediately.

Despite the timely rescue and recovery of vital signs, she went into a coma as her organs began to show ischemia and hypoxia.

Ms. Song was treated in the ICU for ten days and finally recovered some of her consciousness. After more than half a year of rest, Ms. Song finally recovered completely and returned to work.

After the recovery, Ms. Song could not recall the experience of being rescued in Changzhou No. 1 Hospital, but the recount of her husband and daughter prompted her to return to Changzhou No.1 Hospital to say thank you to the doctors.

For us, this medical team is the savior of our family. We are really very grateful.
