
Suzhou New Town Culture and Sports Center was officially opened on Aug. 5. The center, located in Baiyangwan Sub-district of Gusu District, is the culture and sports complex with the largest single building area, the most advanced facilities and the most complete functions in the northwest of Suzhou City.
The center, which broke ground in May 2016, is one of the key livelihood projects planned for 2018. It covers a floor area of 46,000 square meters and a building area of 34,000 square meters, including about 10,000 square meters ground available for outdoor activities. The center is spacious enough to accommodate 1,000 people to carry out cultural and sports activities. It has more than 200 parking spaces and can receive 5,000 visitors at most per day.
