Li Shugan, a police officer, and Zhong Baijun, a CPC branch secretary, have been recommended to be the candidate for the national honor of the most dedicated life fighter.
The Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee will award 200 most dedicated life fighters to greet the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China. Lets take a close look.

Li Shugan is a police officer with Fanshui Police Station, Baoying County. Dedicated to the one-man police station over the past three decades, Li has been committed to his work in a remote island.

In 1999 the township government merged with a larger town and Li was left behind as the only civil servant.

He took over the workload of what would require a police station in the past as well as the government administrative duties such as urban management, civil affairs, and justice, and built a safe haven for the local fishermen.

He has also taken advantage of the opportunity to attend meetings in the cities to help the local fishermen run errands on 850 occasions and delivered legal certificates to the households on 7000 occasions.

By soliciting public opinions, he has helped to solve 5500 disputes at the grassroots level.

Zhong Baijun is a CPC branch secretary of a village in Lianyungang and also deputy secretary of the township CPC committee.

Since returning to the village in 1998, he has organized the villagers to make use of the coastal waste fishing nets to develop the pellet processing industry, and build an underdeveloped village into a strong industrial village and a provincial-level civilized village.

Following the concept of green mountains and clear water are equal to mountains of gold and silver, he has led the villagers to start up an entrepreneurial park. Through industrial transformation and upgrading, the startup business has created jobs for 1600 villagers in nearby villages.
