A party and government delegation from east China’s Jiangsu province visited northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from last Thursday to Saturday. The delegation was headed by Guo Wenqi, standing member of the Provincial Party Committee and director of the Organization Department.
During the visit to the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture and the Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture, Guo Wenqi and the Jiangsu delegation greeted the Jiangsu officials sent to Xinjiang for the paired assistance program, investigated the progress of the paired assistance in Xinjiang and made arrangements for the work in the next stage.
Ji Zheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and director of the Organization Department, was present during the inspection tour.
Guo Wenqi visited the Yining County Light Textile Industrial Park and the Zhenjiang High School in Kekdala City. He unveiled the Kizilsu Vocational and Technical College and the Kizilsu People's Hospital affiliated to Nanjing Medical University, and heard briefings given by the headquarters of the province’s paired assistance program in Ili Prefecture and the Kizilsu.
Guo spoke highly of the efforts made by the Jiangsu officials sent to Xinjiang for the aid project and the achievements made in due course.
He called on the Jiangsu officials to enhance political stance and come to the awareness of the political, economic, and social benefits of the province’s paired assistance program in Xinjiang so as to continue to improve the livelihood with a higher sense of responsibility and optimized work methods.
