100 young people from Macao set foot on Jiangsu to start a three-day tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the return of Macao to the motherland and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
In the Grand Bao’en Temple Ruins Park, 50 middle school students, 20 college students and 30 outstanding young people from Macao lined up and sang in chorus Me and My Motherland to express the same feelings towards the motherland and the shared ancestral root between Macao and the mainland.
Nanjing is the first leg of their tour in Jiangsu. The Macao youth visited Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation, the 1865 science and technology creative industry park, the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Museum and some other places of interest.
A symposium was held to let the Macao youth gain a deeper understanding of Jiangsu and experience the historical and cultural heritage and development achievements of the motherland.
The delegation will head for Changzhou and Yangzhou to continue their tour in Jiangsu.
