Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, met Wednesday afternoon in Nanjing with Feng Zhenglin, Director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
Lou Qinjian expressed his gratitude to the Civil Aviation Administration of China for its long-term support to the development of aviation industry in Jiangsu.
Jiangsu is now promoting its high quality development in accordance with the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and the important instructions given by Xi Jinping on the work of Jiangsu, he said.
The CPC Provincial chief noted that Jiangsu is stepping up its efforts for industrial upgrading and transformation by taking advantage of the overlapping effects of the Belt and Road initiative, the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
Lou Qinjian remarked that Jiangsu is therefore in strong demand of the development of the aviation industry and is making efforts to enhance its strengths.
He hoped that the Civil Aviation Administration of China will continue to give assistance to Jiangsu's development, provide guidance and support in the improvement of hub airport functions and new airport planning and construction, and help Jiangsu accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading so as to turn the blueprint of a strong and beautiful Jiangsu into a beautiful reality.
Feng Zhenglin said that Jiangsu is an important province in the Yangtze River Delta region. With good industrial base and strong market vitality, Jiangsu is showing a strong momentum in the development of the aviation industry.
The Civil Aviation Administration will give full play to the supporting role of aviation in Jiangsu's economic and social development in the Yangtze River Delta airport group planning, support in the allocation of aviation resources, help Jiangsu to supplement the aviation weaknesses, and accelerate the construction of a modern integrated transportation system.
