Rowing teams of Harvard University, Nanjing University and some other universities from home and abroad participated in the 2019 3rd World Prestigious University Grand Canal Rowing Competition that was held in Yangzhou on Wednesday.
More than 100 athletes and coaches from 9 rowing teams showed up for the competition. They represented Cambridge University, Oxford University and Harvard University as well as Nanjing University, Hohai University and Xi'an Jiaotong University. The competition adopted the chase time trial and the one-time final competition system. The shortest time for the 8km race is claimed the champion. The Rowing Team of the University of Otago from New Zealand won the championship.
