The techniques of lacquer ware from Yangzhou city, Jiangsu province and the techniques of fan crafting from Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province, were put up for show recently. The exhibition featured 50 fan art works such as gold-painted black paper fans and exquisite slender fans. All the fan structures are made by the 140-year-old Hangzhou Wang Xingji Fan Crafting Workshop. The fan is painted by Yangzhou Arts and Crafts Masters using Yangzhou lacquer ware. In recent years, Yangzhou has promoted its local intangible cultural skills and integrated development with other intangible cultural skills in the country. The city has so far launched a number of creative cultural products such as "lacquerware + fan art", "lacquerware + silk", "embroidery + oil painting".
