CPC Provincial chief meets with Governor and Speaker of Jeollabuk-do

  Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, met on Wednesday and Thursday in Nanjing with the Governor and Speaker of Jeollabuk-do, the Republic of Korea. Governor Wu Zhenglong also met with the guests on a separate occasion. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the twinning relationship between Jiangsu and Jeollabuk-do.

  When meeting with the Governor and Speaker of Jeollabuk-do, Lou recalled his visit to Jeollabuk-do last month, adding that since the twinning relationship between the two provinces, the exchanges between the two sides have become increasingly close and the cooperation has been fruitful.

  Lou briefed the Korean guests on the 2019 Nanjing Tech Week which was opened on Wednesday.

  The CPC Provincial Chief noted that Jiangsu is willing to share the cooperative opportunities with Jeollabuk-do from the overlapping effects of the national strategies such as the Belt and Road initiative, the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.

  He hoped that the traditional friendship will be further deepened at a new starting point, and opportunities will be seized to expand cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, China and South Korea Yancheng Industrial Park, culture and tourism to better benefit the people of the two provinces.

  The Governor and Speaker of Jeollabuk-do thanked Jiangsu for its warm reception, adding that Jeollabuk-do is willing to walk side by side with Jiangsu and carry out substantive cooperation in the fields of Saemangeum Industrial Park, education and culture to promote the relationship between the two sides to a new higher level.

  On Wednesday evening, Governor Wu attended the ceremony celebrating the 25th anniversary of the twinning relationship between Jiangsu and Jeollabuk-do.
