The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Department of Science and Technology have jointly issued the "Administrative Measures for Postgraduate Workstations in Jiangsu Province", which has expanded the scope of the main body of the station and broke the lifetime system of postgraduate workstations.
The "Administrative Measures" stipulates that postgraduate workstations should rely on enterprises at or above small scales with the annual research and development expense reaching more than 500,000 yuan.
Postgraduate workstations must have a research projects, a platform for technological innovation, and a certain number and high level of expertise or management experts.
The validity of the postgraduate workstation is 4 years. Before July 10 of each year, each postgraduate workstation must submit the basic data of the previous school year to relevant universities. The status will be rescinded if the data is not submitted for two consecutive years.
After the expiration of the four-year period, the relevant departments will make assessment to decide on the grades of the stations in three levels: excellent, qualified and unqualified. If the acceptance is unqualified or the application has not been submitted in time for acceptance, the postgraduate workstation will not continue to exist as a provincial graduate workstation and barred from re-applying within three years.
