East China’s Jiangsu province will pilot socialist modernization in some counties or suburban districts in the southern regions, according to a plan unveiled by the provincial development and reform commission recently.
According to the overall goal set forth in the plan, through the efforts of the pilot areas for two years or so, Jiangsu will have achieved important results in exploring the main connotations and indicators of socialist modernization, and formed practical experiences that can be replicated and promoted.
The plan proposes to promote the modernization of economic development, the modernization of democracy and the rule of law, the modernization of cultural development, the modernization of social development, the modernization of ecological civilization and the modernization of people.
