Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine jointly announced a three-year action plan in a press conference on May 22 to make overseas Chinese have better access to the TCM.
According to the plan, Jiangsu will add 30 “overseas Chinese TCM base” in three years and meet the needs for healthcare inquiry and medical treatment.
Since the start of the initiative in December 2017, Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine has increased efforts to offer online and offline TCM services to overseas Chinese. The hospital launched medical treatment and training through cooperation with 15 institutes in many countries, such as Australia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States, Singapore, Ireland, Canada and Thailand.
It also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Affairs Office to promote TCM in countries along the Belt and Road, establish the International TCM Talent Training Base, support the resources sharing between two sides, and cultivate talents with a global perspective and international communication capabilities to effectively promote TCM in the world.
