China’s first visualized smart clinical service opened in the ENT department of BenQ Medical Center, a Sino-foreign joint venture hospital affiliated to Nanjing Medical University.
The clinical service allows patients to directly watch lesions to their body parts in seeking diagnosis and treatment. Doctor uses a simulated approach to introduce a disease’s development process so patients can understand the condition more straightforward and thoroughly.
Zhong Nanshan, an academic at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said the visualized clinic allows patients to better know their condition, enhances mutual understanding between doctor and patient, make a patient more ready to comply in treatment, and help ease the challenges in medical treatment.
