The 2019 World Taekwondo Championships ended at Manchester Stadium in the UK on May 19, local time. At the closing ceremony, Wuxi City of east China’s Jiangsu province took over the flag of the World Taekwondo Federation. The 2021 Taekwondo World Championships will be held in Wuxi. Since November 2017, Wuxi has held many top-level events such as the World Taekwondo Grand Slam Championship Series and the Team World Cup Championship. Last year, the establishment of the World Taekwondo Wuxi Center made Wuxi more important in the world of Taekwondo. At the same time, it has also cultivated and gathered a group of professional and efficient event operation teams. More than 200 countries and regions are expected to attend the 2021 Wuxi World Taekwondo Championships that is planned to be held from May 16 to 23, 2021. Wuxi city will build an advanced new venue for the 2021 World Taekwondo Championships in Taihu New City, Binhu district.
