An inspection team from the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference visited Jiangsu province from May 7 to 10 to make inspection on strengthening youth and school sports to enhance the physical fitness of young people. The panel was headed by Lu Zhangong, vice chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC.
Lu Zhangong spoke highly of the youth and school sports work in the province, adding that this inspection is a process of in-depth study and understanding of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on sports work, in particular the in-depth research on key issues such as the relationship between sports and sports industry, sports and art, professional sports and mass sports.
He hoped that the inspection team would effectively absorb the experience and practices of Jiangsu and come up with research results that are more consistent with the new era and the new expectations of the people so as to further promote the development of youth and school sports.
Huang Lixin said that the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government have conscientiously implemented the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, especially his important guidance on sports work so that the province has made positive progress in youth and school sports.
Deputy Governor Chen Xingying briefed the inspection team on the overall situation of youth and sports work in the province on behalf of the provincial government.
