Nanjing Medical University inaugurated on Tuesday its Brain Science Research Institute of Nanjing Medical University on the basis of the disciplines of brain science and neuro-medicine in a bid to create an important research platform for the "China Brain Project". The affiliated brain hospital of Nanjing Medical University has certain advantages in the research fields of depression, stroke and brain tumor. On this basis, the Brain Science Research Institute will focus on the mechanisms and diagnosis of mental disorders such as depression, autism and schizophrenia; neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, cerebrovascular diseases and brain tumors, early diagnosis and precise treatment of systemic diseases, brain-like and artificial intelligence systems. The goal is to improve the level of basic research and clinical application through the complementarities of multidisciplinary advantages to bring new gospel to patients' treatment.
