The finals of 2019 "Winning in Nanjing" Overseas Talent Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Nanjing Tuesday.

Mike Holt from Singapore was the first to stage the road show. His entry was a smart window. By adding nano-materials to the glass, the amount of light entering the window can be automatically adjusted to maintain the proper temperature and reduce air conditioning so as to reduce building’s energy consumption.
Since its launch in July last year, the 2019 annual competition has attracted the attention of the entrepreneurial circle and the venture capital industry with many high-quality and high-level overseas talent projects participating in the competition. The industries involved incude software and information services, biomedicine, energy-saving and environmental protection new materials and other leading industries and emerging industries that Nanjing focuses on, such as artificial intelligence and future networks.

33 winners entered the finals out of the 346 registration projects of the four roads at home and abroad that include the ones in Munich, Singapore, Silicon Valley of the United States and Beijing, China. Among them, some projects have settled in Nanjing after the preliminary competition.
Since its inception in 2012, the Overseas Talent Entrepreneurship Competition has achieved remarkable results in bringing together talents from all over the world, upgrading of service industries, and docking of high-quality resources. Over the 8th sessions, it has attracted more than 2,100 talents from home and abroad, and more than 100 technology companies have settled in Nanjing.
