Latest statistics show that in the first quarter, these enterprises maintained stable development, with their operating income and profit reaching 2,711.0 billion yuan and 27.2 billion yuan respectively, standing for double-digit growth. The operating income of provincial enterprises reached 74.6 billion yuan, and the profit reached 14.5 billion yuan, up 3.4% and 21.6% respectively.
By attracting social capital, the company has promoted market-oriented reforms and continuously enhanced its profitability. The Fangmaoshan service area of the Nanjing-Shanghai Expressway underwent a major transformation through the introduction of 85 million yuan of social capital. Since its reopening early this year, it reported a double-growth in its average daily revenue.
The assets of the provincial and municipal state-owned enterprises are mainly distributed in transportation infrastructure, municipal facilities, energy, finance, trade and other industries. The data in the first quarter shows that all the 13 prefecture-level cities have reported income growth with Huai'an, Wuxi and Suzhou ranking the top three. 21 of the 24 provincial-owned enterprises registered increasing profitability. Jiangsu Transportation Holdings, the Guoxin Group and the Provincial Agricultural Reclamation Group are among the largest revenue-generating firms.
In the next stage, the provincial enterprises will complete major investment tasks assigned by the provincial party committee and the provincial government. They will also continue to deepen reform, optimize the layout, increase restructuring and integration so as to further control the asset-liability ratio.
