The Italian manufacturer of automobile braking systems – Brembo unveiled its new plant in Lishui district, Nanjing on Wednesday. This is Brembo’s second plant in Nanjing. Take a look!
The unveiling ceremony welcomed speeches made by Chinese and Italian government officials including Xu Nanping, Vice Minister of China’s Science and Technology Ministry; Lan Shaomin, mayor of Nanjing; Michele Geraci, Italy’s Under-Secretary for Economic Development; and Ettore Sequi, Italian Ambassador to China. The Chairman and President of Brembo Alberto Bombassei, and CEO of Brembo (China) Stephane Rolland made opening remarks.
The new plant, according to Alberto Bombassei, will help the corporate meet the demand of its customers and consolidate its position in China.
With China’s huge development in new energy vehicles, Brembo has also noticed this area and accelerated the cooperation with Chinese new energy vehicle companies.
Entering Chinese market over 20 years ago, Brembo is the world’s leading designer, developer and manufacturer of breaking systems. Its main customers include BMW, Chrysler, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, etc. The new plant that was unveiled on Wednesday was established in 2016.
