A job fair was held Saturday in Nanjing for would-be college graduates from Jiangsu-based universities and colleges.
The large-scale job fair, which is the first of its kind since the beginning of this year, saw 1600 enterprises and organizations showing up to offer nearly 50000 jobs in the fields of engineering machinery, IT, construction transportation, environmental science, medicine and biology.
The annual salary of the jobs will reach 75000 yuan on the average, up 10% from a year ago. Half of the jobs will offer an annual salary ranging from 60000 yuan to 100000 yuan. 11% of the jobs will offer annual salaries varying from 100000 yuan to 150000 yuan.
Many job seekers are favoring southern Jiangsu regions while enterprises in northern Jiangsu are encountering difficulties in hiring high level talents.
Nearly 30000 job hunters showed up at the fair. More than 8000 of them reached intent employment with the recruiters.
Jiangsu will organize more job fairs in the coming months in a bid to ensure that 92% of the fresh college graduates will be hired upon graduation in the summer time.
