The Jiangsu delegation to the second session of the 13th National People’s Congress has submitted 19 motions and 410 proposals with the number and quality both increasing from last year.

It was 12 o'clock in the noon, right before the deadline for the submitting of motions and proposals to the second session of the 13th National People's Congress. NPC deputy Quan Taiqi submitted her revised proposal on increasing the traffic management department's analysis of illegal vehicle management to the motion group.

I did not submit the proposal until now because I want to refine it and make it more targeted.

The 19 motions submitted by NPC deputies from Jiangsu involved legislation, amendments and law enforcement inspections that includes the enactment of the Law on the Protection of Minors' Network, the revision of the Law on Prevention and Control of Atmospheric Pollution, the establishment of sound medical ethics laws and regulations, and others. The 410 proposals concern important issues encountered in Jiangsu’s social development, including accelerating the construction of "the Yangtze River Delta science and technology innovation circle", the development of private enterprises under the new situation, and the construction of rural infrastructure. The proposals are of great significance to high-quality development and show concern for people's livelihood.

The NPC has sped up the acceptance and disposal of the motions and proposals submitted by the deputies. I have submitted six proposals this year. On the second day of submission, I received a call from the National People's Congress to solicit our opinions and understand our thoughts. The rule of law in our country is steadily moving forward.

In the meantime, the CPPCC members from Jiangsu have submitted to the annual session 142 proposals that concerns economy, politics, culture, society and ecological civilization.

My proposal this year is about strengthening the protection of finless porpoise. It is important to make more people, more children know that it is our responsibility to protect the finless porpoise.

Other proposals also concern the promotion of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region, the protection, inheritance and utilization of the intangible cultural heritages in the construction of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt the launch of a long-term mechanism for monitoring off-campus training agencies and enhancing the protection of the resources along the Yangtze River.
