The Jiangsu delegation reviewed the report on the implementation of the 2018 National Economic and Social Development Plan, the draft of the National Economic and Social Development Plan of 2019, the report on the implementation of the local and central budget of 2018 and the draft of the central and local budgets for 2019.
Sun Chunlan pointed out that the government work report runs through Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, adding that these achievements are attributed to the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core.

In accordance with the requirements of high-quality development, we must improve the ability of education to serve economic and social development, prioritize educational development, accelerate the development of modern vocational education, implement the national vocational education reform implementation plan, give full play to the role of scientific and technological innovation of universities, and increase investment in basic research and foster new kinetic energy through innovation.
She stressed that efforts should be made to deepen the reform of the medical and health system, promote the implementation of the medical reform policy, and promote the hierarchical medical system, strengthen the construction of integrated health care system, step up the construction of regional medical centers around key disciplines, boost the management and performance evaluation of public hospitals, and focus on solving the difficulty and high cost of getting medical treatment.
