The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade（CCPIT）and the CCPIT Jiangsu sub-council introduced the planned China Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai, which will run from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021, during a promotion event in Suzhou City on February 28, amid efforts to encourage the participation of Jiangsu enterprises and institutions.
The promotion event attracted representatives from more than 50 Jiangsu enterprises in fields of artificial intelligence, clean energy, garments, gifts, finance, transportation and logistics.
Under the theme of “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future,” Expo 2020 Dubai will be the first World Expo ever held in Middle East. In December 2016, the State Council approved the CCPIT to organize the China Pavilion. In August 2017, China confirmed that it will build itself a large pavilion with a floor area of 4,636 square meters. Based on researches and experts’ suggestions, the China Pavilion will feature “opportunity” as the main idea, make the “Belt and Road” initiative a centerpiece, fully demonstrate the important roles of science and technology, innovation and cooperation in human civilization progress, and show how institutional innovation and technological innovation have brought new opportunities to the world.
